Samelin 516 High Aviator Boots: More Ankle, Same Build

The Samelin 516 is the 517 aviator boot with a taller shaft — same construction, more coverage. If you like the aviator design but want more support around the ankle, this is the version to get.

What the higher shaft gives you

More ankle support on uneven ground, more protection from wet and debris, and a stronger silhouette. It's the difference between a boot you wear and a boot that's clearly a boot — popular with motorcyclists and anyone working outdoors.

The same proven build

Underneath, it's the 517: water-repellent leather upper, full leather lining that breathes and moulds to your foot, and a direct-injected PU sole bonded to the upper so it can't peel off. Unisex sizing runs EU 35–48.

Made to NATO standards

Built by Samelin in Estonia under NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001. The full leather lining is worth noting — many boots at this height use synthetic lining, which doesn't breathe nearly as well over a long day.

Care and break-in
