The Faux Fur Lining — What It Is and What It Does
The Winter Edition's lining is white faux fur — synthetic, not real animal fur. This matters for two reasons:

Maintenance
The M77 Winter Edition requires the same leather care as the standard M77, with one additional note for the fur lining:
Leather upper: Apply leather grease or wax regularly — the current body copy notes that the boot is "extremely durable if kept properly greased." This is accurate. Neglected leather dries and cracks; well-maintained M77 leather lasts decades.
Faux fur lining: The synthetic fur should not be saturated with water or submerged. If the interior gets wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature with the boot upright. Do not compress or fold the boot while drying.
