The AIPI PS-2 in black are handmade leather boots produced at the AIPI Boot Factory in Tallinn, Estonia — the same American military-heritage design as the brown PS-2, in a darker, more versatile colourway. 2 mm natural leather upper, full leather lining, EVA insole stitched to the upper, stitched rubber outsole. Made to order in 7–14 working days. Unisex, EU 35–52.
Stitched Sole — Repairable, Not Disposable
The PS-2 uses a stitched sole construction: the upper and sole are joined with thread, not glue. The stitch is structural, distributing the mechanical load of each step across the entire seam — and, critically, it means the rubber outsole can be resoled when it eventually wears through. AIPI offers in-house resoling, so a well-maintained pair can stay in service for decades rather than seasons.
Full-Grain Leather — Expect a Break-In Period
The 2 mm full-grain leather upper is denser and more durable than corrected or split-grain alternatives, and takes time to break in — typically 1–3 weeks of regular wear before it softens and shapes to your foot. The full leather lining moulds alongside the upper, breathable in warm weather and comfortable year-round.

How to care for waterproof nubuck boots with membrane lining?
Proper care extends the lifespan and keeps your boots looking good. Avoid wearing the same pair of boots on consecutive days. Always dry and clean them thoroughly before wearing them again. When putting on the boots, fasten all closures (buckles, laces, Velcro, etc.) properly.
After purchase and before first use, perform basic care using products meant for nubuck leather. Depending on the weather, apply water-repellent sprays as well. Nubuck care products are available at well-stocked shoe stores.
Store boots in a dry, well-ventilated place. Do not dry them near heat sources.
Clean your boots daily from dust and mud, and brush the sole edges and tread. Never wash boots in a washing machine or with lots of water. Use nubuck-specific products (ask at shoe stores) or a damp cloth. Use shoe deodorant if needed.
Avoid getting sharp objects inside the boots – they can damage the membrane lining.

The leather pull loop at the back of the high and low Aviator boots is decorative and not meant for pulling on the boots. A broken pull loop is not covered under warranty. If it does break, we can repair it as a paid service.
