The Samelin 590 Desert Boots are Samelin's most feature-loaded desert boot — an evolution of the 598 with a side zipper, Velcro lock, and the Fury sole, a directly-moulded outsole compound engineered for grip, cushioning, and flexibility across sand, rock, and mixed terrain. Water-repellent leather and textile hybrid upper, breathable textile lining under the vamp, anatomical antibacterial insole. Handcrafted in Estonia to NATO AQAP 2110 and ISO 9001 standards. EU 36–51.

The Fury Sole
The Fury outsole is directly moulded to the upper — bonded under pressure rather than adhesive-applied — for a sole-to-upper connection that doesn't delaminate under sustained use or in wet conditions.
The sole delivers the combination the 590 was designed for: enough grip for rocky and sandy terrain, enough cushioning for long days on hard ground, and enough flexibility for active, mobile use.
Triple-Element Closure — Lace, Zip, Velcro
The 590 combines three closure elements across the boot opening:
Lace-up: Adjustable fit across the full upper — tighten to your preference and maintain it.
Side zipper: Fast access in and out without re-lacing every time. Useful for on-and-off during travel, tactical use, or any situation where speed matters.
Velcro lock: Secures the closure above the zipper, preventing movement under load. A second layer of security on top of the zip rather than a replacement for the lace fit.
Water-Repellent Leather and Textile Upper
The 590's upper combines water-repellent leather panels with high-durability textile — leather for structure and abrasion resistance, textile for weight reduction and breathability. The combination suits mixed terrain and variable conditions better than an all-leather upper in hot environments, while retaining more protection than a fully textile boot.

How to care for waterproof nubuck boots with membrane lining?
Proper care extends the lifespan and keeps your boots looking good. Avoid wearing the same pair of boots on consecutive days. Always dry and clean them thoroughly before wearing them again. When putting on the boots, fasten all closures (buckles, laces, Velcro, etc.) properly.
After purchase and before first use, perform basic care using products meant for nubuck leather. Depending on the weather, apply water-repellent sprays as well. Nubuck care products are available at well-stocked shoe stores.
Store boots in a dry, well-ventilated place. Do not dry them near heat sources.
Clean your boots daily from dust and mud, and brush the sole edges and tread. Never wash boots in a washing machine or with lots of water. Use nubuck-specific products (ask at shoe stores) or a damp cloth. Use shoe deodorant if needed.
Avoid getting sharp objects inside the boots – they can damage the membrane lining.
How to care for leather boots?

The leather pull loop at the back of the high and low Aviator boots is decorative and not meant for pulling on the boots. A broken pull loop is not covered under warranty. If it does break, we can repair it as a paid service.
